Fast food fans with an affinity for chicken will soon be flocking to Chick-fil-A to get a taste of its new fall menu.
On Thursday, the Georgia-based fast food chain, known for its signature chicken sandwiches, announced the newest iteration joining the menu Aug. 18, a Pretzel Cheddar Club Sandwich.
The sandwich, which was first tested in select markets last spring, features a toasted pretzel bun, lettuce, sliced tomato, cheddar cheese, applewood smoked bacon and a side of creamy Dijon mustard sauce.
It comes in three varieties for customers to choose from: original and spicy -- which are both crispy breaded-style filets -- or grilled.
Allison Duncan, director of menu and packaging for Chick-fil-A, said the company has also leaned into customers' demands for "bold, fun beverages" and will add a twist to its returning Cherry Berry lineup of drinks, which were first introduced last spring.
The seasonal soft drinks, which are made with a cherry, blueberry, and cranberry flavored base, include Cherry Berry & Sprite, Cherry Berry Lemonade, Cherry Berry Frosted Lemonade -- a blend of Chick-fil-A's ice cream dessert, lemonade and Cherry Berry -- and Cherry Berry Sunjoy, the last of which blends sweetened iced tea, lemonade and Cherry Berry.
In addition to the limited-time menu, Chick-fil-A is also adding two brand-new Waffle Potato Chip varieties: Original Flavor Waffle Potato Chips, which are classic waffle-cut chips sprinkled with sea salt, and Chick-fil-A Sauce Flavored Waffle Potato Chips, which are flavored to mimic the chain's signature smoky and tangy sauce.
"We are always looking for ways to surprise our Guests with new and unique menu offerings, and this year's fall lineup presents even more opportunities for Guests to customize and make them their own," Duncan said in a statement.
