Felicity Huffman spent eight seasons playing a "desperate housewife" on the show of the same name, and now she is ready for a new group of women to take on Wisteria Lane.

"I am all for it," Huffman said Wednesday on "Good Morning America" about a planned reimagination of "Desperate Housewives," on which she starred as Lynette Scavo.

"I just think it's wonderful and I'm a huge fan of Kerry's," Huffman added, referring to actress Kerry Washington, whose production company is behind the new show.

Disney's Onyx Collective confirmed to ABC News earlier this month that "Desperate Housewives" will be reimagined in a new project: "Wisteria Lane."

According to a logline, "Wisteria Lane" is "a fun, sexy, darkly comedic soap/mystery, in the vein of 'Desperate Housewives,' set around a group of 5 different friends and sometimes frenemies who all live on a picture-perfect cul de sac called 'Wisteria Lane.'"

The logline continues, "On the surface, all the Wisteria neighbors are living the dream. Beautiful homes, gorgeous families, shiny SUVs in the driveway -- but behind those white picket fences and smiling Insta posts, are SECRETS."

'Desperate Housewives' will return with a fresh take on iconic series

Huffman, now starring in the two-part Lifetime movie "The 13th Wife: Escaping Polygamy," said that while she's excited for the new show, she's not sure who she'd like to see in the new version of her character.

"I have no idea. I think a lot of people could do it better than I did," Huffman said with a laugh. "I can't wait to see it."
