Jennifer Lopez’s bikini mirror selfie on Instagram last week gave many online major body envy, but now many women are channeling JLo’s confidence and sharing their own bikini posts.

Health and fitness influencer Maria Kang started the trend when she shared a photo of herself on Instagram in her bathroom wearing a white bikini.

“Thank you @jlo for inspiring this spontaneous pic in a white bikini this morning,” Kang wrote on Instagram. “If she can do it, if I can do it, if thousands of working moms who come in all sizes, shapes and ages can do it -- then YOU CAN DO IT!!”

This is (almost) 40!⁣ ⁣ Thank you @jlo for inspiring this spontaneous pic in a white bikini this morning. Yes, my mirror is freckled with toothpaste (does your children only use your sink too?!), yes there are unpacked luggages on the ground, an iron, dog dryer and husband shaving somewhere in the background - but I"m getting it done! ⁣ ⁣ Not a celebrity. Not getting millions to look great in a movie (hello, Hustlers! 🙂 Or dating a hot athlete (although my hubby is kinda cute!) BUT, it doesn't matter... ⁣ ⁣ Own your story. Create your own accountability. Don't make excuses for your inaction. If she can do it, if I can do it, if thousands of working moms who come in all sizes, shapes and ages can do it - then YOU CAN DO IT!!!⁣ Post your #bathroomselfie and tag 3 friends who can bring it like #jlo ⁣ #jlochallenge #noexcusemom #whatsyourexcuse

Kang ended her post by challenging her followers to post their own bathroom selfies and to tag three friends to share their own bikini selfies too. Almost immediately, the hashtag took social media by storm.

Brianna May, a young mom behind the Instagram @life.leggings.fitness shared a picture of herself posing in front of her bathroom mirror and wrote, “This is what 26 looks like. With three kids, two pregnancies, one C-section, one natural. I’m still very much a work in progress. It’s called a journey for a reason.”

“If JLo can do it, if I can do it, if thousands of moms who come in all sizes, shapes and ages can do it -- then you can too!” she added.

As a mother of twins, Lopez is redefining what the age of 50 looks like. And after delivering an iconic performance at the Superbowl earlier this month with singer Shakira, social media was stunned when they learned their ages.

So you’re telling me that @JLo is 50 years old and she has had 2 kids AND SHE LOOKS LIKE THAT

Let this sink in...@shakira is 43 years young. @JLo is 50 years young.

I shouldn’t have skipped cardio yesterday. #SuperBowl #HalftimeShow

Shakira is 43 and JLo is 50. You can’t tell me they’re not the most impressive athletes in that stadium tonight, my god.

But many moms aren’t phased by JLo’s age and looks, and if anything they're more inspired than ever to be proud of their bodies.

Christina Belmonte, a mother of two, shared a selfie of herself in her bikini and wrote, “Well if @JLo can do it, I can too!! Here’s to being in our 50’s and being a proud mother of two!!! #JLoChallenge.”

Another mom on Instagram shared that sentiment and posted her bikini selfie writing, “38 mom of 3 and proud of scars and stripes. I couldn’t quite get the sultry pout down but this will do. Body goals. Fit by 40.”
