One woman's porch performances are lifting the spirits of her neighbors and now, people around the world.
Erin Kemble of Clifton, Virginia, has been dressing as famous characters since March 30 and posing on her front porch as the little "piggy who stayed home." From E.T. to Rosie the Riveter, Kemble has dressed up every day since.

"I started doing it to keep my sanity," Kemble told "Good Morning America." The mom of three, who was in catering prior to the lockdown resulting from the novel coronavirus, said her daily porch performance has become like a job.

She said it's hard to nail down a favorite look, though she was partial to her Violet from "Willy Wonka" outfit. "I just love the silliness of it all," she said.
Keeping it light is the priority for Kemble, who admitted these can "be very dark times."
She will keep up her porch performances until at least June 10, when Virginia's shelter-in-place order is scheduled to lift.
Kemble hopes her costumes give people something to look forward to in the present.
"Looking forward to something gives us hope and hope is what we need in these terribly different times," she said. "If you need a laugh, you can laugh at me."
