Sadie Robertson responds to fan who unfollowed her after postpartum body post

Sadie Robertson Huff is speaking out against a fan who chose to unfollow her.

The "Duck Dynasty" actress posted two Instagram photos that included one with her three-month-old daughter honey and another of her posing solo with a tied up t-shirt on.

She began her caption by letting followers know that she took a photo in the pants she is wearing one year ago when she was one month pregnant, and she hasn't worn them since because they haven't fit.

Huff went on to say how she rarely reads her direct messages, but recently did and noticed one from a mom who felt she should know that she would be unfollowing -- and her daughters would be too.

"She went on to say that it is bc of how much I brag & flaunt my body & how hard it was for her to see my body after giving birth 'bounce back," Robertson wrote.

While Huff admits it's fine to unfollow her, it's why the mom unfollowed her that's concerning.

"I thought about how I could've told her that I didn't 'bounce back' how you may perceive outwardly," Robertson said. "I could tell her about parts of me that haven't healed yet. I could tell her about the bumps that I still have covering half of my body since birth bc of a new allergy triggered by a stressful labor. I could've told her things my doctor has told me, & the counselor i saw helped me through. I could've told her how a lot of things I don't tell people, but I didn't."

She continued by saying she doesn't post stuff like that on social media because her truth is not defined by her body and the negative things her body is faced with because "it's done some awesome things this year I'd rather document," Robertson said.

"So i post the good mostly," she said. "Does that mean I'm bragging? That is certainly not my intent. I just feel as though we have better and bigger things to talk about."

Robertson, who had her daughter Honey in May, went on to reflect how the past year of her life has been centered around growth as it relates to life, love, consistency, faith and more.

"I honestly believe those things are more helpful to show then the bumps, the jeans not fitting, the workouts I can't do & so on," she said.

The 24-year-old reality star closed her caption by challenging other women not to become insecure because of what someone else chooses to or not to post.

Robertson ended her statement with "Our confidence should not be found on the measure of how good or bad someone else is doing."

Since posting, more than 600,000 people have liked and loads of fans commented with praise for Robertson's stance.

"Haters gon hate. This caption and the intent is *chefs kiss*," said Mary Kate Morrissey. Other notables such as Bethany Hamilton and Candace Camerson also chimed in with loving words.
