See Tom Hardy’s incredible transformation into Al Capone for upcoming movie

Tom Hardy pulled off a dramatic transformation for his latest role.

The actor, who stars as famous gangster Al Capone in the upcoming Josh Trank-directed drama, "Capone," showed off his look for the film in a new photograph by Greg Williams.

"@tomhardy as #AlCapone in @joshuatrank ‘s #Capone out soon...Amazing make up by @audreydoyle1," Williams captioned the photo.

The film, previously titled "Fonzo," focuses on Capone's life after 10 years in prison and the effects of his declining health. The notorious Chicago-based gangster was known for the multimillion-dollar crime empire he ran during the Prohibition era.

Hardy also recently shared a poster for the film on his Instagram.

The film also stars Kyle MacLachlan, Matt Dillon, Jack Lowden and Linda Cardellini among others. Check out the trailer for the upcoming drama, out May 12.
