Even though "Thor: Love and Thunder" doesn't premiere until Feb. 18, 2022, Taika Waititi is already getting fans hyped up by revealing some details about the movie on social media.
MORE: Angelina, Natalie and Scarlett: Marvel going all in on female empowerment for phase 4The Kiwi director hosted a screening party -- which turned into a Q&A -- for 2017's "Thor: Ragnarok" via Instagram Live on Thursday and was joined by two of the Marvel Cinematic Universe's most beloved stars, Tessa Thompson (Valkyrie) and Mark Ruffalo (Hulk).
Before getting into "Ragnarok," Waititi couldn't help but troll fans. He did so with a fake script in which Thor (Chris Hemsworth) found out Tony Stark/Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) was alive and Thanos (Josh Brolin) had returned. This, of course, meant the Avengers needed to reunite and would be "avenging more than ever," leading to their new name: the "Avengererers."
"Love and Thunder" picks up after the events of "Avengers: Endgame" and while it will feature Hemsworth as the God of Thunder -- it introduces a female Thor, with Natalie Portman's Jane Foster picking up the hammer for that role. Also, Thompson's Valkyrie, the new leader of the Asgardians, will be searching for her queen, confirming she is an LGBTQ hero.

It looks like the popular character from the comics won't be making his big-screen debut in "Love and Thunder." (Hopefully we'll meet him eventually, though.)
Waititi will thankfully be bringing back everyone's favorite "Fortnite"-playing rock creature Korg in "Love and Thunder." When quizzed by Thompson as to whether or not he will have a love interest in the next film, given the movie's title, he answered no because Korg was "deeply in love and lost that love along the line" and "he doesn't feel brave enough to find love again."
That said, we will be learning more about Korg's Kronan culture.
Waititi shared some possible concept art for what Miek will look like in "Love and Thunder." One of the drawings had Miek wearing a pencil skirt in what Waititi called the Sakaaran's "secretary" look. He also confirmed Miek is female.
Thompson, for one, is a fan of Miek's new look and called the insectoid warrior "hot."
While he didn't completely close the door on the idea -- saying "we haven't figured that out" -- Waititi did seem bored with the thought. "But I feel like we've seen that, haven't we?" he asked.
Thompson said there is a script floating around out there and Waititi confirmed that they are "four or five drafts in now." That said, filming has -- as you may have guessed -- yet to begin.
If you thought "Ragnarok" was fun, Waititi says "Love and Thunder" makes it feel "safe" and "run-of-the-mill," calling the next installment "so over the top in the very best way." He added: "It's like 10-year-olds told us what should be in a movie and we said yes to every single thing."
Waititi also revealed there will be space sharks in "Thor 4," which could mean comic book fans will get formally introduced to Starsharks in the upcoming film.
...just kidding! Waititi once again pulled one over on viewers by pretending the video feed was breaking up as he made noises to make everyone think he was spilling details about Bale's role.
