Last week, Shawn Mendes took to Twitter to tell fans that he "finds it hard to feel like I'm not failing," revealing that he "constantly feels like" he's "either flying or drowning."
Now, the "Wonder" artist has turned to Instagram to share another update on his mental health with his fans.
Sharing a photo of himself playing guitar, he admitted in the caption of the post that he has been "been going through it lately."
"Tryna be the best ain’t really doing it for me anymore if i’m honest," he wrote. "Turns out just being me feels a whole lot better."

One of Mendes' good friends, John Mayer, responded in the comments, "Love you dearly."
The singer shared a lengthier note last week in which he admitted to being "overwhelmed and overstimulated" but assured fans that he is "okay."
