Prince Harry and Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, are busy preparing for the birth of their first child, but not too busy to send a sweet birthday note to one of their biggest fans for her 99th birthday.

"Dear Daphne," Harry wrote to the fan, Daphne Dunn. "My wife and I send our warmest wishes to you on the occasion of your 99th birthday on Friday."

"We hope you have a wonderful celebration surrounded by family and friends and that you've managed to escape hospital. Congratulations on reaching this important and impressive milestone before your centenary year next year," the letter read.

Harry, 34, first met Dunne, on two of his previous visits to Australia, in 2015 and 2017.

When he and Meghan visited the country in October, during their first official overseas tour as a married couple, he introduced Dunne to his new bride.

When Meghan met Dunne for the first time, she told her, "Hopefully next time we see you we’ll have our little with one with us," according to local reports.

Dunne spent her 99th birthday on March 28th in the hospital.

Her daughter, Michelle Haywood, told the Australian morning show "Today" that Harry and Meghan's birthday letter was helping her fight through her illness. She said the family got "goosebumps" when they learned about the letter.

"She’s still very unwell and I think, you know, if anything, the card they sent means so much," Haywood said. "I think it will be the thing that gets her through."
