'Modern Family' cast marks first table read of the last season with an epic throwback

WATCH: Sarah Hyland discusses her health and 'Modern Family'

The "Modern Family" cast is already getting nostalgic!

As the actors reconvene for the show's 11th and final season, several of the stars took to social media to mark the occasion.

While many shared video from the set to Instagram stories, actress Sofia Vergara took things one step further and posted a current cast photo alongside one from a decade ago.

"10 years later!! Modern Family!!! #ourlastseason," she wrote.

"Modern Family" first premiered in September 2009, and went on to win the Emmy for best comedy series five years in a row. Earlier this year, ABC announced that the show's 11th season would be its last.

Co-creators Christopher Lloyd and Steven Levitan "have created one of the most seminal and iconic comedies in television history," said Karey Burke, president of ABC Entertainment. "In its final season, there will be more milestone events that anyone who has been a fan of the series won't want to miss."
