A premiere date for "Joker: Folie à Deux," the sequel to director Todd Phillips’ 2019 blockbuster "Joker," has been announced.
The highly anticipated sequel will hit theaters Oct. 4, 2024.
Lady Gaga also revealed Thursday that she will star in the film alongside Joaquin Phoenix, who will return in his role as the Joker, Batman's titular foe.
Details of Gaga's role are not known yet.
The award-winning artist, known for her roles in 2021 drama "House of Gucci" and 2018 film "A Star Is Born," shared a teaser on her social media accounts confirming the news.
In contrast to the first film's dark tone, the follow-up will be a musical, according to Variety, with Gaga reportedly on board to play the Clown Prince of Crime's co-conspirator, Harley Quinn.
"Joker" earned more than $1 billion globally and earned Phoenix an Oscar for best actor.
