Kacey Musgraves performed with one of her heroes at the 53rd Annual Country Music Association Awards on Wednesday night in Nashville, Tennessee.
The Grammy Award-winning country star took to the stage to sing "Rainbow Connection," made famous by 1979's "The Muppet Movie," with the legendary Willie Nelson.

It was previously announced that the two artists would be performing together at the 2019 CMAs in an exclusive announcement on "Good Morning America."
Musgraves has a unique history with "Rainbow Connection" -- she performed it when she was 9 years old. Check out the adorable clip.
She described the duet as a "A [WILLIE] FULL CIRCLE MOMENT," on her Instagram.
Musgraves and Nelson previously collaborated on her second studio album, 2015's "Pageant Material." The two covered his 1965 hit "Are You Sure."
