Haim updates Adam Sandler's 'Chanukah Song'

WATCH: Hanukkah: The basics

Haim had a holiday gift for fans Friday: an updated take on Adam Sandler's "The Chanukah Song."

In a video shared to social media, Este, Danielle and Alana Haim, who are Jewish, paid tribute to several other Jewish celebrities, including Timothée Chalamet, Doja Cat and Dan Levy.

"Sandler we love you," they captioned it.

Added Sandler in a tweet of his own: "Love you ladies! You are three badass jews! See you on tour!"

Sandler first performed "The Chanukah Song" on "Saturday Night Live" in 1994. In an interview with Ellen DeGeneres in 2019, he invited another artist to update the lyrics.

"That's a long time for one song," he said. "If there are any other Jewish people out there who want to write a new one, that'd be great. I'd love to share the Hanukkah spirit with you."
