Gigi Hadid doesn't have time for social media users making fun of her appearance.
A Twitter user posted a picture of Hadid hanging out with their cousin after a long photo shoot.
The woman wrote, "tell me why my cousins just met [Gigi Hadid]."

After seeing the thread, Hadid commented back, writing, "Woww ... Out of context and styling from the shoot , and after wrapping shooting in the sun for 12 hours in a wig, this look wasn’t my best moment to take a pic w fans."
it bums me out that there’s people like you who function on an intelligence level that would look beyond the nice experience I had with your sweet fam & turn that into such a negative and mean train of thought.....! 😕 your tweets don’t make me ugly gurrl , they make u –

The Victoria's Secret model, 23, added that she knew she wasn't looking her best, but wanted to take a picture with the fans anyway.

The user responded saying she didn't say anything negative and "go rant to someone else bruh omg everyone’s clowning you but you’re gonna come directly at me."

Some fans also came to Hadid's defense.
"@GiGiHadid you're beautiful. I liked this post earlier because I thought you looked beautiful and happy to meet fans. Which still stands to be true," a fan added.

This isn't the first time Hadid has stood up for herself.
Last year, she wrote on Twitter, "For those of you so determined to come up w why my body has changed over the years, you may not know that when I started @ 17 I was not yet diagnosed w/Hashimoto’s disease; those of u who called me 'too big for the industry' were seeing inflammation & water retention due to that ... I may be 'too skinny' for u, honestly this skinny isn’t what I want to be, but I feel healthier internally and am still learning and growing with my body everyday, as everyone is."
Hashimoto's disease is a condition in which the body's immune system attacks the thyroid, according to Mayo Clinic. Symptoms can include fatigue, pain, muscle weakness and unexplained weight gain.
Hadid said that since her diagnosis, she's taken medication and "was also part of a holistic medical trial that helped my thyroid levels balance out."
