Drake on Monday reflected on his life and relationship with his 2-year-old son, Adonis, while self-quarantining amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Toronto rapper shared a collage of photos of his curly blonde-hair, blue-eyed son and his family on Instagram. Adonis' mother, Sophie Brussaux, was also featured in the photos, paired with a sweet message of reflection and love for his son.
"What is most important for you right now is to connect to your own inner light. This will create the biggest opening of all," Drake wrote. "Trust that you have all of the power within to make this happen, and in order to do that connect to the people and things that bring you a lot of joy. When the mind starts to move into overthinking or fear, shift your attention right away to something bright."
He continued, "We are powerful manifestors, so once you make the choice in the moment to shift your awareness to something good, it will show you in your reality. Be conscious, especially right now of fears coming in from others, and recognize that not everything should be held by you."
Drake also shared that Adonis has "the biggest heart," which is his "greatest gift."
The Toronto native, 33, confirmed via lyrics in 2018 that he'd welcomed a child in October of 2017. In the song, "Emotionless," he rapped: "I wasn’t hiding my kid from the world, I was hiding the world from my kid."
That Christmas, he shared artwork that his son made for him.
