Florence Pugh recently showed off a hair look that she did totally by herself.
For her starring role as Allison in "A Good Person," which was released Friday, Pugh filmed an intense scene in which she is seen using a pair of scissors to chop away at her hair.
"I did a thing," Pugh captioned a photo of herself with her fresh cropped cut.
Opening up to "Good Morning America" about the scene, she said she thought it was really important for the audience to see that her character is a completely changed and different woman, "and that she's literally chopping pieces of herself off."
In the dramatic film, Pugh plays a young woman whose life drastically changes after surviving a huge tragedy. She turns to drugs but later has a chance to put her life back together and move forward.
Relating to this series of events, Pugh also mentioned that cutting her hair during the scene in some ways pushed all the vanity out the window. "You don't look at this character in the same way that you would do," said Pugh. "She is at rock bottom and she looks wonderfully mad while doing so."
She continued, "I thought it was really important as a performer, and also visually for the audience, to just see that it's changed me."
Earlier this month, Pugh reunited with "A Good Person" writer-director Zach Braff during the U.K. premiere of the film at The Ham Yard Hotel in London. The former couple dated from 2019 to 2022, and also co-produced their latest film together.
"A Good Person" will premiere worldwide on March 31.
