The dress's name, primavera, also has a connection to Harry's grandmother, Queen Elizabeth, according to Elizabeth Holmes, author of the book, "HRH: So Many Thoughts on Royal Style."

The design of the queen's wedding dress for her 1947 wedding to Prince Philip was inspired by Sandro Botticelli's Renaissance-era painting Primavera, according to Holmes.
