Celebrity stylist Jamie Mizrahi is known for her jaw-dropping list of celebrity clients, which includes names like "The Bear" star Jeremy Allen White, Adele and recent Academy Award winner Mikey Madison.
Mizrahi, however, isn't just an expert on crafting ultra-glam looks for the red carpet: Her new limited edition capsule collection with popular shoe brand TOMS shows off her eye for elevating casual pieces for an effortlessly chic vibe as well.
"I've had a long history of wearing TOMS and knowing the brand since it started," Mizrahi told "GMA" on a recent video chat. "I've always loved their mission, their ethos and what they stand for. I'm a longtime wearer of TOMS. I think it's such a classic, timeless, wholesome brand."
The stylist recalled TOMS opening its very first store in Venice, California, and meeting with founder Blake Mycoskie, whose one-for-one model meant that for each pair purchased, another pair was donated to a child in need.

"Every choice I make in who I work with and how I work with people and brands [is] always about the founders and what the ethos is," she said. "I like having this community of clients, and I really just believe in everyone I work with. I don't typically do many collaborations or design collections with brands, but TOMS felt like a no-brainer for me. I've always had TOMS in my closet."
Outside of aligning on an ethical level, the shoes also had to look good. So while working on the design, Mizrahi said she and the brand went for a fresh take on an old favorite.
"We updated a very classic pair of TOMS shoes, which were the Alpargatas. That's the shoe I've always worn and had in different colors. Obviously styles change, and we molded it to be a more modern version: It's a little chunkier, we moved down the front of the shoe, made the sole monochrome and the fabrication is a suede."
The resulting look is what Mizrahi called an "elevated, modern version of the shoe that I would wear on a day to day basis."
"It's true to my aesthetic and what I would want to wear," she said.

She said the red TOMS in this collection are great for this purpose, since they add a pop of color to anything.
"They feel new and exciting, but they'll work with anything from a pale yellow slip dress to a pair of jeans to a pair of sweatpants or shorts with a button-down," she said. "I really think having accessories can elevate other things in your wardrobe."
She added, "I try to gravitate toward things that feel classic and timeless as far as shape and silhouette, then maybe inject some color to keep it exciting."
The "goes with everything" ease of wear you're guaranteed with these shoes is one of their top selling points, which extends to your children, since the collaboration includes sizing for men, women, toddlers and babies.
"Last night, I wore them with a wide leg jean, this weekend I wore them with a sweatpant, I've worn with them with a slip dress and sweater … they're a really versatile shoe to just thrown on and wear out, and they're even easier for your kids. They can put them on themselves, which is really nice as a mom."
