Patagonia, for example, is a great brand to shop for sustainable pieces. And Wolven and Girlfriend Collective are just some of the other sustainable brands we're adding to our carts.
When it comes to sustainability, these brands are each doing their own part to make a difference. Girlfriend Collective, for instance, believes "where your clothes end up is just as important as where they come from," and "gladly recycle[s] most old Girlfriend Collective pieces and turn[s] them into future clothes," the company says on its website.
Specifically, the swim pieces are "designed with ECONYL regenerated nylon which is made from nylon waste otherwise polluting the earth, like fishing nets, fabric scraps, and industrial plastic -- plus, it gives back 1% to Healthy Seas."
Wolven's 2022 Sustainability Report states that the company is working to reduce its shipping emissions, warehouse waste, and the non-recycled, non-bio-based materials in fabrics and packaging. All of their fabrics are made from 84% recycled plastic water bottles.
