The REMI x REVOLVE collaboration is finally here – and we can’t wait to shop.
On Aug. 10, Revolve released its first extended-size collection with content creator and curve model, Remi Bader. The collection features 15 styles in sizes XXS to 4X, with a second drop coming in September.
As a content creator, Bader’s viral Instagram Reels and TikToks often feature her trying on clothes from various brands; she calls them her “realistic hauls.” With each haul, Bader tries on clothes and gives her honest opinion on the look and fit. Perhaps most importantly, she stresses the need for size inclusivity where it’s lacking.
In one 2021 video, where Bader hauled pieces sold on Revolve, she spoke directly to the company: “Please Revolve, please. Just make some larger clothing… One thing that bothers me is on their website it says XXL [but] when you go and click that, there’s barely any items on the website that are XXL.”
She continued: “Like what if I came in and I created a brand for them? Very trendy, very cool, a little bit lower in price – but for curvier women.”
Clearly the video captured Revolve's attention: In March 2022, Bader released a video teasing Remi x Revolve with the caption: “Speak your dreams into existence!!!!!!”
“When we first announced REMI x REVOLVE, I said that every piece in the collection would be something I was never able to find in my size, or for my body,” Bader said in a press release. “Now I am able to make this available to people that feel the same way, which is the best part. The process over the past few months has shown that there is incredible interest and demand, and there is also a constant need to evolve, and understand customer needs. Being able to share the process, and provide step-by-step input from myself and my community has been instrumental, and I cannot wait to deliver the final product.”
According to Revolve’s press release, Bader worked closely with design teams “on scale specifications for each piece, and participated as a fit model in the final stages of sampling to ensure the silhouettes matched her original goal of delivering sexy, body-conscious clothing without sacrificing comfort.”
The collection includes The Lucy & Lauren Set, a two-piece green set featuring a one-shoulder top and skirt.
There’s also the Marissa top for those who don’t want to wear something cropped. The top features a clip on the inside to adjust the coverage.
