KitchenAid has spilled the tea, revealing Spearmint as its 2026 Color of the Year for the newest lineup of stand mixers.
After more than two years of research and development, the new hue -- inspired by the aromatic and versatile herb -- officially launched Thursday to take a permanent place on kitchen countertops.
Brittni Perjis, a design manager of nine years on the Color, Material and Finish Design team at Whirlpool, told "Good Morning America" that they track everything from color, to interior trends globally, to forecast and draw inspiration.

"We're collecting a lot of images and visuals of things that are out in the world," she said, then "tap into what color can tell you through emotion."
For it's eighth Color of the Year release -- with previous years featuring colors such as Butter, Blue Salt and Hibiscus -- KitchenAid brought together the sandy finish for a "soft approachable texture" like the leaves of spearmint and a "refreshing, energizing color."
