A chocolate lab puppy that went missing over the weekend had a sweet homecoming thanks to some hardworking local detectives.
The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department shared a heartwarming video on Facebook of the moment they returned the missing pup to her rightful owner.
"On February 1st, a chocolate lab puppy named Ruby was inside her owner's vehicle when it was stolen. Today, Det. Albanese and Det. Morell were thrilled to reunite Ruby with her owner," the caption said. "Welcome home Ruby!"

Ruby had been inside her owner’s vehicle when it was stolen on Feb. 1.
The very happy owner noted that the officers even "found her cage" before dancing with the puppy in her arms.
The video has racked up over 10,000 views on Facebook with hundreds of likes and dozens of shares.
