McDonald's is launching The Grinch Meal, a new meal deal developed in partnership with Dr. Seuss Enterprises that offers fans of the Golden Arches a mischievous twist on their favorite fast food items this holiday season.

The Grinch Meal, announced in a press release Thursday, will be hitting the fast food chain nationwide starting Dec. 2, marking the first time this meal will be available in the U.S.

The new meal is inspired by the popular green Christmas downer and comes with Dill Pickle "Grinch Salt" that can be sprinkled on McDonald's fries using the McShaker bag.

To complete The Grinch Meal, the fries can be paired with a Big Mac or 10-piece Chicken McNuggets and a medium drink.

In its press release Thursday, McDonalds included a note from the Grinch -- "a handwritten note on crumpled paper from Mt. Crumpit" -- which read, "THiS iS MY MEAL AND i DiDN'T PARTNER WiTH McDONALD'S OUT OF THE GOODNESS OF MY HEART."

"i SAW AN OPPORTUNiTY TO BRiNG MiSCHiEF TO YOUR BELOVED 'RESTAURANT' WiTH MY DELiCiOUS CHAOS FOR THE HOLiDAYS AND i TOOK iT," the note continued. "SO GO AHEAD, GRAB MY MEAL STARTING DEC. 2 -- YOU'RE WELCOME FOR MAKiNG YOUR HOLiDAYS iNFiNiTELY MORE iNTERESTiNG."

Along with the green salt, The Grinch Meal will include a pair of Grinch-themed socks "scribbled with messages from the Grinch himself to let everyone know exactly how he feels this holiday season," which come in four colors and can "be used as an impromptu stocking, just like Mt. Crumpit's finest."

The meal will be available at participating U.S. restaurants for a limited time, while supplies last, according to McDonald's.

The Grinch, the massively popular fictional children's character, first appeared in Dr. Seuss' 1957 book "How the Grinch Stole Christmas!"

The character has since been featured across a number of films, TV shows and stage musicals, with famous portrayals by Boris Karloff, narrator and voice of the Grinch in the original 1966 animated TV special; Jim Carrey, who portrayed the beloved character in the 2000 live-action film adaptation; and Benedict Cumberbatch, who voiced the character in the 2018 animated film based on the original book.
