At this point, anyone hosting Thanksgiving should have the turkey thawed and ready to brine, along with ingredients for side dishes, pies and more. But on the off-chance you need to send someone to the grocery store for a last-minute item on Thursday Nov. 27, here's a list of grocery stores that will still be open.
Even if you have everything planned and prepped, there's always a chance you'll need extra chicken stock to quickly warm up stuffing or help along some gravy, so just in case, here are plenty of retailers that will be ready to help.
Whole Foods
Whole Foods stores will be open in many places with modified hours from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thanksgiving, according to the company's website. Locations in Massachusetts, Maine, and Rhode Island, however, will be closed for the holiday.
Kroger
Stores that are open on Thanksgiving Day will close at 4 p.m., and pharmacies will be closed the entire day.

The Kroger Family has an array of banner retailers including Ralphs, Baker's, City Market, Dillons, Food 4 Less, Foods Co, Fred Meyer, Fry's, Gerbes, Jay C Food Store, King Soopers, Mariano's, Metro Market, Pay-Less Super Markets, Pick 'n Save, QFC, Ruler, and Smith's Food and Drug.
Harris Teeter
The grocery store will be open on Thanksgiving with modified hours until 2 p.m. Check the store locator online for more information.
Wegmans
Most locations will close at 4 p.m. on Thursday, but customers can check store hours online or by phone for specific times, which may vary.
Sprouts
Store will be open from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day.
Food Lion
All locations will close at 3 p.m. local time, except for Virginia regions including Roanoke, Lynchburg, Blacksburg and Charlottesville, which will close at 4 p.m. Pharmacies will all be closed.
