Michael Strahan, Robin Roberts, George Stephanopoulos take on 'Hot Ones Versus' challenge

WATCH: 'GMA' anchors turn up the heat on 'Hot Ones'

Things got hot on the set of "Good Morning America" when the show's co-anchors took on the "Hot Ones Versus" challenge.

Michael Strahan, Robin Roberts and George Stephanopoulos sat at a table together, challenging each other to answer personal questions or take a bite from an atomically hot chicken wing.

"I'm getting secondhand sweat," Stephanopoulos said as the challenge got underway, modeled after "Hot Ones," one of the most popular series on YouTube.

Everyone from Shaquille O'Neal to Idris Elba, Paul Rudd, Jennifer Lawrence, Cardi B, Sabrina Carpenter and David Beckham have opened up to "Hot Ones" host Sean Evans over plates of hot wings in the taped interview series.

Roberts came to the "GMA" competition with "Hot Ones" experience, having sat in the hot seat across from Evans last year.

"It was hot. It was. So, just be prepared," Roberts warned Stephanopoulos and Strahan before they started.

For the "GMA" challenge, the questions ranged from Strahan being asked to rank fellow retired NFL players by their broadcasting ability to Stephanopoulos being asked the one "GMA" segment he would like to see deleted from existence.
