Just over one month after her death, celebrity chef Anne Burrell's final run on "Worst Cooks in America" will begin airing on Food Network.
The new season of "Worst Cooks in America," featuring Burrell's final appearance as a mentor, will premiere July 28 on Food Network at 9 p.m. ET, and stream the next day on HBO Max.
The new season features Burrell, a longtime veteran of "Worst Cooks," working alongside chef Gabriele Bertaccini, in his first season on the show, as they try to turn their teams of amateur cooks into winning chefs.
New episodes of the season will air each Monday on Food Network.
Burrell died on June 17 at the age of 55 after she was found "unconscious and unresponsive" in her Brooklyn home, according to police.
She died by suicide, the City of New York Office of Chief Medical Examiner said last week. The chef died by "acute intoxication due to the combined effects of diphenhydramine, ethanol, cetirizine, and amphetamine," according to the medical examiner.
Following Burrell's death, tributes poured in from the culinary world, including many of her Food Network colleagues.
Burrell was an early star and staple figure on Food Network, appearing in shows such as "Chopped," "Chef Wanted" and "Food Network Star," most recently competing in "House of Knives" in 2025.
Food Network also paid tribute to the late chef in a statement after her death.
"Anne was a remarkable person and culinary talent -- teaching, competing and always sharing the importance of food in her life and the joy that a delicious meal can bring," the network stated. "Our thoughts are with Anne's family, friends and fans during this time of tremendous loss."

Food Network describes the season as featuring, "professional performers and used to stealing the spotlight, but in the kitchen, they are dishing out disasters."
Food Network added that this season of "Worst Cooks" will feature classic dishes and fan-favorite challenges.
"In the premiere episode, chefs Anne Burrell and Gabe Bertaccini have their work cut out for them as they attempt to turn a bunch of culinary train wrecks into kitchen stars, but first, they need to know what they are up against," the network says on its website. "The recruits kick things off with their signature showstopper dish, and in the main dish challenge, they tackle the ultimate test: recreating the chefs' 'winner winner chicken dinner.' Those with promise move on while the rest face elimination. Across the season, with guidance from Anne and Gabe, the recruits will tackle restaurant classics, try to master global cuisines, and compete in the fan-favorite Remote Control Chef challenge, in their bid to be the best of the worst."
In June, the network aired a lineup of episodes featuring Burrell to, "highlight her extraordinary talent as a chef, competitor and teacher."
"Anne Burrell was a one-of-a-kind talent whose loss is being deeply felt by family, friends and fans," Betsy Ayala, head of food content for Warner Bros. Discovery, said in an announcement about the June 25 on-air tribute. "With these special programming events, we hope to honor Anne and celebrate her impact on Food Network and beyond, and to offer fans a way to remember her passion and culinary prowess that ran through everything she did."
