Philadelphia Eagles star Saquon Barkley is a dad of two: Meet his family

WATCH: Eagles' Saquon Barkley talks tush push and juggling family and football

When he's not on the football field, NFL star Saquon Barkley is a proud father of two and a dedicated partner.

The Philadelphia Eagles running back opened up about balancing football and family life in a "Good Morning America" interview that aired Sept. 19.

"Hopefully, my kids would say I'm a great dad," Barkley said. "It's hard to be a great dad during football season."

"Obviously, I want to be a great football player, but when you have those kids, and you see those kids grow up, you realize that there's so much more in this world than how well you run a football," he added.

Barkley and his fiancee Anna Congdon are parents of two kids -- daughter Jada and son Saquon Jr.

The family often watches Barkley and the Eagles play and was able to celebrate the Eagles' Super Bowl LIX victory together back on Feb. 9, which also happened to be Barkley's birthday.

Barkley later reflected on the "amazing" experience in a June interview on "GMA".

"When you win the Super Bowl ... it always hasn't been seasons where you make the [Madden NFL 26 video game] cover ... but every moment I can think of my kids being there, my family being there, and my friends being there -- it was my birthday, I was able to celebrate that and win the Super Bowl and have all these special people around me -- just made it so much more special," Barkley said.

Barkley and his children are known to exchange handshakes and kisses before the Eagles star takes to the field.

They shared the ritual at the NFC championship game between the Eagles and the Washington Commanders at Lincoln Financial Field in January.

After the Eagles soared to victory in that game with a 55-23 win, the Barkley family was all smiles, posing for photos together with the George S. Halas Trophy.

"If I could wrap my arms around this memory, I would ..." Congdon wrote in an Instagram caption at the time, sharing photos from the postgame celebration.

Barkley told People in an exclusive interview published Feb. 2 that he and Congdon are engaged to be married. ABC News has also reached out to Barkley for comment.

Barkley's handshakes with his kids have turned into a pregame habit. The Eagles posted a video of the 28-year-old sharing handshakes with his family in a December 2024 clip on YouTube as well.

Anna Congdon

Congdon and Barkley have been a couple since they were students at The Pennsylvania State University. Congdon occasionally shares photos of her longtime partner and their kids on her Instagram. The couple also attended the 12th annual NFL Honors awards ceremony together in 2023 and again in 2024, along with their daughter Jada.

Jada

The couple welcomed their first child, daughter Jada in April 2018. Barkley revealed he picked Jada's name from a list Congdon created of potential baby names in a 2019 NFL film.

"First and foremost, I'm just honored and blessed that I have a daughter in Jada and [to] be able to enter fatherhood and [I] always gotta try to set the standard for her because her image of a man is gonna be off of me," Barkley said at the time.

Saquon Jr.

Barkley and Congdon also welcomed a son, Saquon Jr., in 2022. After his birth, Barkley called him a "beautiful baby."

"He lights up the room. Amazing smile. Jada is being an amazing big sister. Anna, obviously, an amazing mom. We've got a beautiful little family," he said at the time.
