Molly Ringwald brought a very special date to a red carpet in New York City.
"The Breakfast Club" star attended the premiere of "Monster: The Ed Gein Story" on Tuesday with her daughter, Mathilda Gianopoulos, posing for photos together in a rare public outing.
Molly Ringwald says being inspiration for 'Sixteen Candles' feels 'a little peculiar' nowRingwald looked chic in a white satin shirt paired with a pleated pleather skirt and gold heels, while Gianopoulos stunned in a white satin dress and pink ballet flats.
Later, Ringwald shared snapshots from the evening on Instagram, including two solo shots of Gianopoulos in her outfit and another of her daughter seated across from her at a table.
She captioned the post, "My date and my ♥️#daughter #firstborn #bettedaviseyes."
Ringwald shares Gianopoulos, along with 16-year-old twins Roman and Adele, with her husband, writer Panio Gianopoulos.
While speaking to The Times in April 2024, Ringwald opened up about the start of her motherhood journey, revealing that Mathilda Gianopoulos was conceived in the dressing room at Studio 54 during the end of her run as Sally Bowles in "Cabaret" in 2003.
"I always knew I wanted to have children but it took me a while -- I was 36 when she was born," she said at the time. "At that age, the biological clock is a real thing, and it had kind of become deafening. All I could think about was: must have kids."
