Two members of the U.K. Parliament were sworn into office with their infant babies literally by their side.
Kemi Badenoch, the Tory member of Parliament (MP) for Saffron Walden, and Stella Creasy, the Labour member of Parliament (MP) for Walthamstow, each wore their babies during their swearing in ceremony on Tuesday.
Badenoch gave birth to a daughter, her third child, in September, in the midst of her campaign for her seat.
In addition to wearing her baby on the floor of Parliament, Badenoch posted a photo of herself holding her daughter and surrounded by family and supporters.

Creasy gave birth to her daughter Hettie on Nov. 27. She returned to the campaign trail just a few days later, according to her Instagram account.
Creasy carried Hettie on stage with her when she won her election on Dec. 13.
On Instagram, Creasy wrote that she had to physically go in to be sworn in so that she could have maternity leave and represent Walthamstow in Parliament.
"Under current parliamentary procedure I had to go in today to swear in so that I can have maternity leave and Walthamstow still gets a vote via my proxy," she wrote. "[T]hankfully hettie not too bothered by the mother of all parliaments."
