Country singer Zach Top won the coveted award for new artist of the year at the 2025 CMA Awards on Wednesday night.
Top took the stage to accept the award wearing a black cowboy hat with a beer in hand.
"Thank you very very much," he said in his acceptance speech. "I can't remember if I was supposed to put my beer down first or not, but here it is now."
After taking a big gulp of his drink, he continued, "I'm so thankful to be included in a category with a bunch of other great artists that have had phenomenal years. I'm thankful to be here."
"This is my first CMA win ever so it's a big deal to me, and I got a long, long list of people to thank," he added, before thanking God, his family, his record label Leo33 and his band.
Other nominees in the new artist of the year category this year included Ella Langley, Shaboozey, Tucker Wetmore and Stephen Wilson Jr.
Elsewhere during Wednesday's show, Top took the stage to perform his hit song "Guitar."

The country music star hails from Sunnyside, Washington.
According to his official website, he grew up on his family's farm, where he was surrounded by country music.
Top's passion for music began when he was a child, and when he was just 7 years old, he formed a band with his siblings.
Sorry ladies, Top is taken. The CMA new artist of the year winner is currently dating model Amelia Taylor.
The duo hit the red carpet together ahead of the awards show.
Top spoke to Taste of Country prior to the CMA Awards on Wednesday night and confirmed Taylor would be his red carpet date for the evening.
"Anytime I'm in front of a camera, I get pretty lost," he said, when asked if he and Taylor had their red carpet poses sorted out. "I think I'm meant to be heard, not seen. But ... [Taylor will] be there, people will be wowed by her. They can look at her and hopefully listen to me later on in the night."
Taylor has shared several social media posts with Top. Last month, she took to Instagram and shared a photo of the two together for her birthday at Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre in Colorado, where Top headlined a show.
Taylor also took to Instagram for Top's birthday in September, calling him "the sweetest, most encouraging, and loving person I think I've ever met."
Top is currently finishing up the North American leg of his Cold Beer & Country Music Tour.
His next tour stop is in Kennewick, Washington, on Nov. 22 and 23. His final North American tour date will be on Dec. 12 in Las Vegas.
Top is set to hit the road again in 2026 for the European leg of his tour. He will start in Zurich on Feb. 21 and make subsequent stops in Copenhagen, London, and more, ending the European leg in Glasgow, Scotland, on March 15.
