Usher announces 2021 Las Vegas residency: 'It's going to be crazy'

Usher is taking his talents to Las Vegas! The eight-time Grammy Award-winning artist announced Friday that he is headlining a residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace, beginning July 16, 2021.

"I'm really looking forward to Las Vegas, going there for 12 shows starting in July -- next July, 2021 -- and really excited about it," he said during an appearance on "Good Morning America" on Friday.

The show will feature songs from Usher's 20-year career, with the singer describing it as "an Usher experience like they've never seen or heard before" in a statement.

He also promised the show will be "full of surprises." Tickets for the singer's Las Vegas residency are on sale on Thursday, Sept. 10 at 10 a.m. PT.

During his "GMA" interview, the R&B singer spoke about his upcoming new music.

"I'm actually in the process of completing the album, and I'm getting ready to drop some new music and new visuals," he said. "It's just been a process and just wanted to make sure you guys were ready for it."

He also has some exciting news in his personal life. The singer confirmed that he and his girlfriend Jenn Goicoechea are expecting a baby.

Usher already has two sons, Usher Raymond V, 12, and Naviyd Ely Raymond, 11, from a previous relationship.

He said his family is "elated" at the baby news. "Babies always bring such joy to a family and [I'm] really, really excited for my young one," he added.
