Taylor Swift shares how Travis Kelce mistook Hugh Grant's wife for Greta Gerwig

WATCH: David Muir on how Taylor Swift made history again with 'The Life of a Showgirl' album

Taylor Swift shared a funny story this week about fiance Travis Kelce experiencing a small mix-up at one of her Eras Tour concerts.

The singer shared the anecdote on Wednesday night as she chatted about her new album "The Life of a Showgirl," Kelce and more on "Late Night with Seth Meyers."

In one portion of the interview, Swift recounted how Kelce mistook actor Hugh Grant's wife Anna Eberstein for "Barbie" director Greta Gerwig while in the VIP tent at an Eras Tour show.

According to Swift, Kelce told her he was disappointed that "Gerwig" didn't laugh at the joke he made about the film -- which is when she eventually realized that he was talking to the wrong person.

"Do the math," Swift said she told Kelce. "Is there any chance at all, baby, that you complimented Hugh Grant's wife Anna on 'her' movie, 'Barbie?' And she politely nodded, because she didn't have the heart to tell you she didn't direct it?"

Elsewhere in the interview, Swift shared her version of a story Zoë Kravitz had shared previously, about a time when Kravitz's Burmese python got loose in Swift's house.

"I just remember getting a call from my head of security and him trying to explain this story to me, and my first question was, 'What snake?' I was unaware of the presence of the snake," she recounted.

Swift dropped her 12th studio album, "The Life of a Showgirl," on Oct. 3.

The pop superstar celebrated the release of that album with a theatrical launch party event that featured the exclusive world premiere of the music video for "The Fate of Ophelia," one of the tracks on the new album, along with behind-the-scenes footage of the making of the video.
