Taylor Swift is opening up about her favorite song across her entire catalog.
After 12 studio albums, the first of which was released 20 years ago, Swift's favorite pick embraces storytelling at its core.
"I think I require a little bit of time to, like, appreciate my work in a way, and it's constantly changing, right? It's a little too soon, but I will say I think No. 1 is 'All Too Well,' the 10-minute version," Swift said in a new interview on "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert" Wednesday night.
Colbert asked Swift for her top five songs and although the 14-time Grammy winner didn't divulge all of them, she chose one more top track.
"I'm really obsessed with 'The Life of a Showgirl' right now, the whole album. So I'm like, I can't really do any of the others, except, I will say somewhere in this list, I think is going to be a song called 'Mirrorball' from 'Folklore,'" Swift continued.
Swift released "All Too Well (10 Minute Version)" in 2021, calling it then her "favorite" record from "Red (Taylor's Version)," a re-recording of her 2012 "Red" album.
"It has a story that is so sacred to me because ... it was my favorite song on the record," Swift said at the time. "I knew that when we put out the album, it wouldn't be a single, it wouldn't be a video -- but I knew it was my favorite one."
Swift also released a short film to accompany "All Too Well (10 Minute Version)," starring the singer herself as well as "Stranger Things" actress Sadie Sink and "Maze Runner" actor Dylan O'Brien.
Swift appeared on Colbert's late-night show to promote her new "The End of an Era" docuseries, which premieres on Disney+ on Friday, Dec. 12. The highly-anticipated six-part series follows Swift during her record-breaking Eras Tour, which unfolded between 2023 and 2024.
Swift is also releasing a full concert film of her final show of the Eras Tour in Vancouver. The film, "Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour: The Final Show," will also premiere on Dec. 12 on Disney+.
Fans have another chance to watch the series and the concert film on Dec. 12 on ABC. The network is airing a preview event featuring the first episode of “The End of an Era” and a one-hour presentation of “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour: The Final Show,” at 8 p.m., ET.
