The Wales family joined King Charles III and Queen Camilla for the annual military parade, held in London to mark the reigning monarch's official birthday.

This year's Trooping the Colour is the third for Charles as king. Charles' actual birthday is Nov. 14, but his official birthday is marked annually by Trooping the Colour, this year falling on June 14.

Kate Middleton and Princess Charlotte turned heads as they arrived at the event in perfectly coordinated looks, both opting for shades of aqua.

The Princess of Wales wore a bespoke Catherine Walker coat dress with a wide-brimmed hat by Juliette Botterill.

She accessorized with a pearl drop earring set once owned by the late Queen Elizabeth and the Irish Guards regiment brooch, a nod to her role as Colonel of the regiment.

Princess Charlotte, 10, wore a lighter aqua dress, subtly echoing her mother’s ensemble. Her hair was styled in her signature braids, and she added a meaningful touch: a delicate brooch that once belonged to her great-grandmother, Queen Elizabeth, and that she also wore to the Queen’s funeral in 2022.

After arriving at Buckingham Palace by car, Kate and the children, Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, 7, traveled in a traditional horse-drawn carriage down The Mall. Charlotte sat beside her mother, while her brothers faced backward across from them.

All three children were dressed in outfits that complemented their parents: the boys wore navy suits and red ties that matched Prince William’s military uniform.

Prince William participated in the parade on horseback, riding a horse named Darby; a gift to Queen Elizabeth from the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. As Colonel of the Welsh Guards, William wore their ceremonial uniform, complete with a black armband worn in remembrance of the victims of the recent Air India air crash.

In addition to members of the royal family, more than 1,300 parading soldiers and 300 musicians participated in the military parade, according to the British Army.

Also part of Saturday's festivities is a military flypast over Buckingham Palace, which the royal family watched from the palace balcony.

Last year's Trooping the Colour was a significant one for Charles, as well as his daughter-in-law Kate, who had each publicly announced cancer diagnoses earlier that year.

Kate announced her own cancer diagnosis in March 2024 after several months out of the public eye. Like Charles, she did not share specifics of her diagnosis but gave a positive update in January.

"It is a relief to now be in remission and I remain focused on recovery," she wrote on social media.
