Naomi Osaka is known for her stylish outfits, and her all-red opening look at the U.S. Open, the final Grand Slam of the tennis season, was complete with one of the season's hottest accessories: a Labubu.
The small, stuffed creature with pointy teeth and flushed cheeks -- a coveted plush that has made waves across the globe in the past 12 months and is based on characters created by Hong Kong-born Dutch artist Kasing Lung -- made an appearance on Osaka's tennis bag Tuesday at Louis Armstrong Stadium in Flushing, New York, taking the internet by storm.
"This is my Labubu, she's named Billie Jean Bling -- not Billie Jean King, Billie Jean Bling," Osaka said after securing her first win of the tournament, referencing famed tennis legend Billie Jean King, who was in attendance at the U.S. Open on Tuesday.

Osaka then showed off her bedazzled red Labubu, which wore a sparkling crown and even had a custom blue tennis racket.
To round out her all-red Nike bubble skirt ensemble on Tuesday, Osaka initially hit the court wearing a long braided hairpiece adorned with rose buds, her sparkling Labubu on her bag.

Osaka has worn some iteration of floral Nike gear at two other Grand Slam events this year, including a sunflower-inspired look at the Australian Open and cherry blossoms at Roland Garros.
