Maren Morris gets real about baby weight and pregnancy pain

WATCH: Maren Morris sings 'All My Favorite People'

Eight months into her pregnancy, Maren Morris is serving up some "real talk" for her fans.

On her Instagram story, the singer shared a snapshot of herself working out with help from celebrity trainer Erin Oprea, who’s also known for coaching Kelsea Ballerini and Carrie Underwood.

Underneath the image, Morris offered an unfiltered look into what life in the last trimester of pregnancy has been like.

"I’m nearing the end of my pregnancy journey and have worked out with Erin Oprea and tried to eat relatively clean throughout," she wrote. "I’m 5’1 and have gained 40 lbs, and I wouldn’t change a thing."

The singer, 29, added that overall, being pregnant has been a great experience for her.

"Even with the lower back pain and my anemia-prone BS, I have really enjoyed being pregnant," she explained. "I hope this little boy is as kind to me on the outside as he’s been on the inside, because I will miss his kicks."

It’s our last Valentine’s Day just us, and I imagine that days like this will look pretty different starting in a few months. There will probably be less of a party and more finger painted cards that are illegible but still stay on the fridge for far too long. I was looking back through some photos and realize all that I’ve really been posting is tour stuff, and it hit me funny because this season of my life has been so fun and so satisfying but it’s been mostly just ours. There have been so many moments that we’ve been too busy living to share. I look at her and I am full of pride. If you could hear the little things she says, it’s just amazing how happy this kid has already made her. I am so proud of her for carrying this baby and it has made me love her more. It makes me happy that she has taken the time and space to rest her mind and her body after 4 years of going non-stop, and lately the nights have been full of laughter and learning how to fall back asleep after the boy in your uterus kicks you in the ribs 6 times to wake you up at 3:30 in the morning for the 3rd night in a row. Anyway, all this the say life is good and love is great to celebrate. Hearts for everyone ❤️

Morris' baby boy, who's due in March, is her first child with her husband, fellow country artist Ryan Hurd.

She recently announced a string of upcoming tour dates beginning in June, and the run will be a family affair: Hurd is opening for her during the tour.

The irony is just too rich that after a year of living in the “GIRL” headspace, the universe would give us a baby boy to even things out. See you in 2020, little one. 👶🏻
