Lisa Rinna says she was drugged with fentanyl at 'Traitors' season 4 premiere party

WATCH: A look at the growing fentanyl crisis in the US

Lisa Rinna says she was drugged with fentanyl while attending the "Traitors" season 4 premiere party in January.

The actress and reality TV star made the allegation during her appearance on "Good Day New York" on Thursday, telling hosts Jerry O'Connell and Rosanna Scotto that she later tested positive for fentanyl, high levels of amphetamines and other substances following the Jan. 8 event at The Abbey in West Hollywood.

"I'm not kidding. I had fentanyl, high levels of amphetamines and other things," Rinna shared. "But I can’t talk a lot about it because we’re still dealing with it. It was leaked, and my team is dealing with it now."

Rinna said her husband, Harry Hamlin, helped her leave the party shortly after the alleged incident.

In a statement to ABC News on Thursday, The Abbey said it conducted an internal review after being contacted by Rinna's team.

"Lisa's team shared concerns with us following her visit, and we immediately conducted a thorough internal review," the statement read. "When she became unwell, our security team assisted her and escorted her safely out of the venue. We pulled and reviewed all available surveillance footage from the time in question and interviewed staff on duty. We found no evidence of drink tampering or suspicious behavior toward her."

The venue added that it could not speak to medical findings and did not want to speculate about toxicology results.

"We take any report of a guest feeling unwell or unsafe extremely seriously and follow established investigative protocols," the statement continued. "Drink tampering is a crime. If any guest believes their drink has been compromised, we strongly encourage them to report it immediately, either to our management team so we can respond in real time, or directly to law enforcement if they prefer."

The Abbey said it has extensive surveillance coverage, trained security personnel and ongoing drink-safety measures in place, adding that guest safety remains its highest priority.

Fentanyl, a synthetic opioid, has played a central role in the nation's overdose crisis.

"In 2023, approximately 69% of all overdose deaths involved synthetic opioids, primarily illegally made fentanyl and fentanyl analogs," according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The CDC also notes that powdered fentanyl "is commonly mixed with drugs like heroin, cocaine, and methamphetamine," and warns that "drugs mixed with fentanyl are extremely dangerous, and many people may be unaware that their drugs contain it."

Rinna currently appears on "The Traitors" season 4. She is also known for her roles on "Days of Our Lives" and "Melrose Place," as well as reality television appearances, including "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" and "Dancing With the Stars."

ABC News has reached out to Rinna's representative and Peacock for comment and has not received an immediate response.
