Kaia Gerber celebrated her 18th birthday over the weekend in New York City in a leather outfit that paid homage to a look her mother Cindy Crawford once wore on the red carpet.
The young model's edgy, bespoke, bondage-inspired Versace outfit was reminiscent of the outfit Crawford wore to the 1992 MTV Video Music Awards.
Gerber completed her night-out look with over-the-knee sandals and a dramatic hairdo by famed hair stylist Guido Palau.

Gerber is following in her supermodel mother's footsteps. She's been featured in high-profile campaigns and covered some of the most prestigious fashion publications during her short, yet impressive, career.

For the issue, Gerber opened up about her private life and how she considers herself an "old soul."
"When I'm working, I don't have the energy to even flirt with anyone. I'm sorry, I just can't," she told the outlet. "But I'm not losing hope in all love forever. ...I have backgammon at my house, and that's all a girl needs. When I'm home, I'm living the life of a 70-year-old woman."
Her mother also addresses nepotism-based critiques celebrity children often face while working in a similar industry.
"Even though it probably bothers her, we all realize that, yeah, Steven Meisel will see her [because of who she is]," Crawford told British Vogue on her daughter working with the famed photographer.
