Jack Black and Paul Rudd have teamed up for one epic adventure.

The duo, who star in the upcoming film, "Anaconda," appear in the official trailer for the highly anticipated movie, where they work together to reboot the original 1997 film of the same name.

The trailer, which was released on Wednesday, features Black and Rudd -- as best friends Doug and Riff – heading to the Amazon with their indie film cast and crew to recreate their favorite film.

Watch below:

Things take a turn when they need to go into the jungle to find a new snake to work with for the film and they come face to face with a larger than life anaconda and have to escape its wrath.

According to a synopsis for the film, "Doug and Griff have been best friends since they were kids, and have always dreamed of remaking their all-time favorite movie, the cinematic 'classic' Anaconda."

"When a midlife crisis pushes them to finally go for it, they head deep into the Amazon to start filming," the synopsis continues. "But things get real when an actual giant anaconda appears, turning their comically chaotic movie set into a deadly situation. The movie they're dying to make? It might just get them killed….."

The film is directed by Tom Gormiccan, who co-wrote the script alongside Kevin Etten.

Starring alongside Black and Rudd are Steve Zahn, Thandiwe Newton, Daniela Melchior and Selton Mello.

In December 2024, Black and Rudd released a video announcing the news of the reimagined "Anaconda" film.

The first "Anaconda" movie, an adventure horror film, was released in 1997 and was directed by Luis Llosa. It starred Jon Voight, Jennifer Lopez, Eric Stoltz, Ice Cube and Owen Wilson. The film followed a National Geographic film crew "taken hostage by a hunter who forces them along on his quest to capture the world's largest and deadliest snake," according to a description of the film.

Several "Anaconda" films with new cast members followed, including "Anacondas: The Hunt for the Blood Orchid" in 2004, "Anaconda 3: Offspring" in 2008 and "Anacondas: Trail of Blood" in 2009.

"Anaconda," starring Black and Rudd, will slither into theaters Dec. 25, 2025.
