The 83rd annual Golden Globes ceremony is almost here!
Hollywood's biggest party of the year will take place on Sunday honoring the best in television, film and podcasting, as determined by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association.
This year for the first time, a new annual primetime special, "Golden Eve," will air nationally on Thursday night, with special honors going to Sarah Jessica Parker and Dame Helen Mirren.
Actors who are nominated for Golden Globes this year include Jacob Elordi, Seth Rogen, Amanda Seyfried, Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande.

The 2026 Golden Globes will take place on Sunday, Jan. 11, at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT.
The ceremony will take place in Beverly Hills, California, at The Beverly Hilton.
The Golden Globes will air live on CBS. The awards ceremony will also stream live on Paramount+.
Comedian and actress Nikki Glaser returns for the second year in a row to host the 2026 Golden Globes.
Following her debut as Golden Globes host last year, critics lauded Glaser's approach to the event, with Rolling Stone even reporting that she "redeems the Golden Globes opening monologue" and kept things "just spicy enough."
"There's lots to joke about this year — and the star power in the room is going to be bigger than ever. I mean, it's bigger than last year," she told People in December at The Hollywood Reporter's Annual Women in Entertainment Gala. "I kind of have to keep wrapping my head around the kind of people that are going to be present in this room."
Paul Thomas Anderson's "One Battle After Another" leads all film categories with nine nominations, including best motion picture (musical or comedy) and best director.
"Sentimental Value" follows close behind with eight nominations, while Ryan Coogler's "Sinners" scored seven nominations.
Other films that are nominated include Chloé Zhao's "Hamnet," Guillermo Del Toro's "Frankenstein" and Jon M. Chu's "Wicked: For Good."

"The White Lotus" is the most nominated television show with six nominations, including best television series. Close behind is the Emmy-winning Netflix limited series "Adolescence," with five nominations.
Television shows also vying for a coveted Golden Globe are "Only Murders in the Building," "Severance," "The Bear," "Nobody Wants This," "The Pitt" and more.
On the film side, Leonardo DiCaprio is nominated for best performance by a male actor in a motion picture (musical or comedy) for "One Battle After Another" while his co-stars Chase Infiniti and Teyana Taylor are nominated for best performance by a female actor in a motion picture (musical or comedy) and best performance by a female actor in a supporting role in any motion picture, respectively.
Stars who won big at the Critics Choice Awards are also nominated for Golden Globes this weekend including "Hamnet" star Jessie Buckley for best performance by a female actor in a motion picture -- drama, "Marty Supreme" star Timothee Chalamet for best performance by a male actor in a motion picture -- musical or comedy, and "Weapons" actress Amy Madigan for best performance by a female actor in a supporting role in any motion picture.
Actors who are nominated twice are Seyfried and Elordi. Other big names who are vying for a Golden Globe are George Clooney, Grande, Cynthia Erivo, Claire Danes, Selena Gomez, Kristen Bell, Paul Mescal, Adam Sandler and Teyana Taylor.

New nominees were celebrated at the Golden Globes First-Time Nominee Celebration in December 2025 in Beverly Hills.
The Golden Globes will debut its new category for best podcast at the 83rd annual show. The category will honor talent in the medium, according to a press release.
Podcasts that are nominated include "Armchair Expert with Dax Shepard," "Call Her Daddy," "Good Hang with Amy Poehler," "The Mel Robbins Podcast," "SmartLess" and "Up First from NPR."
Leading up to the 2026 Golden Globes, celebratory kick-off events will take place for what is being called Golden Week. In addition to Golden Eve, The Hollywood Reporter x Spotify Nominees Night Party will take place on Jan. 8 to celebrate the Globes' podcast category. It will feature a headlining DJ set from Mark Ronson and performances by Chaka Khan, John Legend and Miles Caton.
The WWD Style Awards will also take place on Jan. 9 to honor Demi Moore, Pamela Anderson, Hailey Bieber and Kourtney Kardashian Barker. George Clooney will also be accepting the red carpet visionary award on behalf of Giorgio Armani.
