Harry Styles drops cinematic 'American Girls' music video

WATCH: Harry Styles drops 'Kiss All the Time. Disco Occasionally'

Harry Styles is leaning into a more cinematic style with the new music video for the second single from his latest album, "Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally."

The singer debuted the visual for "American Girls" on Friday.

The video blends stylized stunt sequences with behind-the-scenes moments from a fictional film set, giving the pop star a chance to lean into an unexpected action-hero persona.

At one point, Styles’ car crashes beneath a truck and bursts into flames, one of several over-the-top moments that playfully mimic Hollywood action films.

After each dangerous sequence, however, the singer is shown casually brushing himself off and returning to set, while the stunt performers who executed the risky scenes appear bruised and dusty as filming wraps.

In a recent interview with Zane Lowe on Apple Music, Styles also opened up about the emotional impact of losing his former bandmate Liam Payne.

Reflecting on Payne’s death, Styles said the loss has been especially painful given how closely their lives and experiences were intertwined, describing Payne as someone with a deeply kind nature who always wanted to do well by others.

Styles is set to celebrate the album’s release with a one-night-only concert in Manchester, England, to honor the upcoming Netflix special "Harry Styles: One Night in Manchester," premiering March 8.
