WATCH: 'Grease' prequel headed to the big screen

"Summer Loving" is coming as a prequel to the 1978 blockbuster "Grease."

Paramount on Tuesday said it was developing a story about the backstory of how John Travolta's Zuko and Olivia Newton-John's Sandy met.

We know, we know -- "Tell me more, tell me more." (Sorry, that slipped out.)

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the film has signed John August to write the script that will focus on the instant love connection between the unlikely duo.

In "Grease," you see Zuko, a bad boy from the wrong side of the tracks, fall in love with Olsson, the good girl from Australia that's new in school.

The term "Summer Loving" was made famous in the song "Summer Nights," sung by Travolta and Newton-John, where the duo tell their friends about meeting each other during summer break from high school.

Travolta and Newton-John both had stellar careers after "Grease" was released, with Travolta starring in "Look Who's Talking" and "Pulp Fiction." Newton-John also had a solid singing career.

The 1978 classic had a sequel starring Michelle Pfeiffer, along with other adaptations over the years, including a live movie that aired on TV.

Go 'Grease' Lightning. (Ugh, we did it again!)
