Former "Real Housewives of Salt Lake City" star Jen Shah has been released early from prison.
The former reality TV star was released Wednesday morning from Federal Prison Camp (FPC) Bryan, the minimum security federal prison camp in Texas where she served her sentence, a spokesperson for the Federal Bureau of Prisons confirmed to ABC News.
Shah was transferred to community confinement, meaning she is in either home confinement or a halfway house, the spokesperson said in a statement, noting that, "for privacy, safety, and security reasons, we do not disclose an individual's specific location while in community confinement."
A representative for Shah did not immediately reply to ABC News Wednesday.
Shah was sentenced in 2023 to six and a half years in prison in connection with a telemarketing fraud case.
Her previous early release date was set for Aug. 30, 2026, after she had her sentence reduced twice for good behavior.
PEOPLE was the first to report in November that the Federal Bureau of Prisons had approved a Dec. 10 release for Shah.
Shah pleaded guilty in 2022 to conspiracy to commit wire fraud and was ordered to forfeit $6.5 million after previously pleading not guilty.
Shah was also ordered to pay restitution to victims of the nationwide telemarketing scheme that prosecutors said targeted elderly, vulnerable victims.
At the time of her sentencing Shah promised to repay the victims, telling the judge, "I plan that, when I am out of prison, to use my platform and raise the money that way. I hope that I'm able to work again."
Shah, a mom of two, appeared on the first two seasons of "The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City" on Bravo. The second season, which ended in March 2022, featured her fighting the charges of fraud.
Andy Cohen, an executive producer of Bravo's "The Real Housewives" franchise, said on his SiriusXM talk show on Dec. 2 that Shah won't be returning to "The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City."
"I just want to say once again, for anyone who is asking, I think I've said this before, she's not coming back to 'The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City.' She's not," Cohen said of Shah.
"I wish her all the best in her next life," he continued. "I would assume she'll wind up on a reality show of some kind, but it won't be anything that I'm working on. I don't know that I can see Bravo working with her again, so there you go."
