After seven years of delivering laughs on "Saturday Night Live," Ego Nwodim is officially taking her final bow.
The comedian and actress revealed on Friday that she is leaving the long-running NBC sketch comedy show.
In a heartfelt Instagram post, Nwodim reflected on her time with the series and thanked those who shaped her journey.
"The hardest part of a great party is knowing when to say goodnight," she wrote. "But after seven unforgettable seasons, I have decided to leave SNL," the photo read.
"I am immensely grateful to Lorne [Michaels] for the opportunity, to my castmates, the writers, and the crew for their brilliance, support, and friendship."
Nwodim joined the cast in 2018 and quickly became a fan favorite with standout impressions of Dionne Warwick and original characters like "Lisa from Temecula."
She credited her years on the show with teaching her "more than I could have ever imagined," adding that she will carry those memories and the laughter "always."
She closed her farewell post with a touch of humor, writing: "Now invite me to your weddings please!!!" and captioned the message simply with, "‼️‼️‼️."
Nwodim is the latest cast member to leave SNL, following the recent departures of Devon Walker, Emil Wakim, Michael Longfellow and Heidi Gardner, who all announced their exits ahead of the sketch comedy show’s upcoming 51st season.
