Dolly Parton’s often said she patterned her look after the "town trollop" when she was growing up, but she takes that notion to a new level in the video for "God Only Knows," her new collaboration with Christian pop duo for KING & COUNTRY.
The music video places Parton in a hotel room, singing to another version of herself: a wistful prostitute dressed in fishnet stockings and a gold miniskirt, sitting on a bed with a wad of cash on its corner.
"God only know what you’ve been through/God only knows what they say about you," she tells the alternate Parton.

The video goes on to depict other people in similarly desperate situations, with the real Parton joining hands with for KING & COUNTRY's Joel and Luke Smallbone at the end, reinforcing the song's theme that things can get better.
"When I first heard #GodOnlyKnows I knew I had to be a part of it," Parton shared on her socials. "Thank you @forkingandcountry for letting me join you in telling this incredible story of love, faith and kindness."
