'The Devil Wears Prada' sequel gets release date

Gird your loins, because "The Devil Wears Prada" is coming next year.

The highly anticipated sequel to the iconic film, which starred Anne Hathaway and Meryl Streep, arrives 20 years after it first premiered in 2006, "GMA" confirmed.

The release date, which was reported by several outlets on Thursday, is set for May 1, 2026.

The first "Devil Wears Prada" film was a film adaptation of the novel of the same name by Lauren Weisberger.

Streep portrayed Miranda Priestly, the editor-in-chief of the fictional fashion magazine, Runway.
