Carrie Underwood is releasing a new single, "Ghost Story," on Friday.
The country superstar has been giving fans hints since last week that she has an upcoming release, and on Tuesday, she confirmed the new song.

The unveiling comes after Underwood hinted during the Academy of Country Music Awards that she had something in the works that would be released "soon."

The new release also comes after the country star celebrated her 39th birthday last week.
She shared a photo of her birthday cake on her Instagram, captioning the shot, "Feeling loved this evening! Thanks for all the birthday wishes, everyone! I do believe that 39 is going to be my best year yet! 😉❤️"
