Alicia Silverstone to reprise her role as Cher Horowitz in new 'Clueless' sequel series

WATCH: As if! 90s teen rom-com 'Clueless' is getting a remake!

We're totally buggin' over a new "Clueless" sequel series.

Paramount+ announced Thursday that a sequel series to the cult-classic '90s teen film "Clueless" has been greenlit.

The series will see Alicia Silverstone back in her iconic role as Beverly Hills it-girl Cher Horowitz as a mom.

Silverstone will also serve as an executive producer on the project.

A press release for the series says that it will pick up 30 years after the original film.

"Cher Horowitz has figured out a lot: She's successful in business and has mastered motherhood -- that is, until her daughter's high school years, and Cher finds that parenting a teenager makes her feel 'clueless' all over again," the press release adds.

In addition to Silverstone, Amy Heckerling, who wrote and directed the original film, and Robert Lawrence, who was a producer on the original film, will serve as executive producers.

Josh Schwartz, Stephanie Savage and Jordan Weiss will write and co-executive produce the project.

Filming for the "Clueless" sequel will begin in Los Angeles in 2027.
